The Humboldt Farmer’s Market will be expanded on Saturday, July 16, as SummerFest on Sumner is being planned from 8 a.m. to noon.
The Farmer’s Market will have even more vendors than normal. The 600 block of Sumner Avenue will be blocked off with Farmer’s Market vendors located down the center of the street. Businesses will be having sidewalk sales in front of their businesses.
There will be kids games in Finch Park, face painting, bags tournament, sidewalk painting and live music by Pam Stalpes, Jessica McClintock and Jami Olson, plus a karaoke machine.
A variety of food vendors will be offering various items. The Knotty Pine will be serving Bloody Marys outside. There will be wine tastings at Humboldt Engraving, Sister’s Homestyle Entrees and Kist Korner. Kist Korner will be serving breakfast burritos. Rustix will be serving mimosas and breakfast pizza. Sweetest Things will be offering gourmet cupcakes.
There will be picnic tables and spools available for seating. Store windows will be decorated.
Vicki Steenhoek will be offering cookie decorating at V & S Variety.
