Humboldt's varsity volleyball team went 5-0 on the day to win the Spencer Tournament last Saturday, Sept. 13. Humboldt, 9-3 overall, 0-1 in conference play, defeated Cherokee Washington (2-1), Carroll (2-1), Algona (2-0), Spencer (2-0) and Maple Valley Anthon-Oto (2-0). The Wildcats will host St. Edmond on Sept. 18.

Humboldt remained unbeaten on the season by rolling past the Boone Toreadors, 48-21 in a Class 3A District 3 football game at Boone Friday night (Sept. 12). The Wildcats, now 3-0 on the year, 1-0 in district play, travel to Carroll on Sept. 19 to face the Tigers, 49-35 winners over Webster City Friday night.

Humboldt's varsity volleyball team dropped their North Central Conference opener at Algona Thursday night (Sept. 11) by scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-20. The Humboldt High football team took a 21-0 lead into the locker at halftime and rolled to a 34-6 victory over Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals Friday night (Sept. 5) at Mason Maach Field in Humboldt. The Wildcats, now 2-0 on the season, play at Boone on Sept. 12.

Humboldt's varsity girls' cross country team picked up another team title by winning the Webster City Invitational on Sept. 2. Humboldt scored 42 points to outdistance runner-up Algona which had 91. Maddie Kampen was second overall in 16:28 to lead the Wildcats, who had won the team title at Iowa Falls-Alden a week earlier. Humboldt's boys...
