Humboldt student helps shape education policies
A student at Humboldt High School is helping shape education policies in the state of Iowa. Geoffrey Bruder, son of George and Joyce Bruder, who will be a junior at Humboldt High School, is one of 17 members of the Iowa Learning Council. They meet every two or three months to discuss educational issues, and to come up with possible solutions for these problems.
They met in May with Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, and shared six goals they have to improve Iowa schools. Find out what they are by reading this week's Humboldt Independent newspaper. Subscribe today by clicking on the link above.
