Perfect weather, perfect celebration for 150th
Dry, pleasant weather conditions helped make Humboldt’s 4th of July Sesquicentennial celebration a huge success.
Large crowds were noted at every event, including an overflow crowd for the Sesquicentennial Parade on the evening of July 4th, followed by a spectacular extravaganza of a fireworks display at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds.
Winning floats in the parade included: Hy-Vee in the commercial division, the Humboldt Boy Scouts in the non-profit division, and Virgil Davis with his chicken pulling wagon in the personal division.
