Shopko Hometown conversion now under way

The former Pamida store in Humboldt has begun the conversion to a Shopko Hometown store, with the consumables department reopening last Sunday. The newly remodeled store with expanded product lines will be open to customers as they are completed. Humboldt Independent photo.

Shopko has announced that the liquidation sale has ended and the store conversion process to Shopko Hometown has begun.
On Sunday, Oct. 21, the Pamida store closed.
The store was closed for one week until the first department, Consumables, was converted.
The entire conversion process will last between 5–6 weeks.
Following the Consumables department will be the Home department, which will open no later than Nov. 11.
The Home department includes sporting goods, electronics, housewares, toys and domestics.
The final department to convert is Apparel, which will open by Nov. 18. As the name implies, Apparel will include all clothing items, shoes and accessories.
The store’s outdoor lawn and garden department will remain open throughout the conversion.
A grand opening celebration will take place later this month.
