Wildcat boys to 2-1 with victory over Garrigan
Humboldt's varsity boys' basketball team picked up another conference win by turning back Algona Bishop Garrigan, 78-69 in the Humboldt gym on Dec. 10. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Austin Zylstra with 20 points. Jaxon Heinz added 16 while Jack Curran and Brady Ross each had 10. Humboldt is now 2-1 overall and in the North Central Conference.
Humboldt went on the road at Clear Lake Friday night (Dec. 6) and suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Lions 74-62 in a North Central Conference boys basketball game. Jaxon Heinz scored 18 points to lead Humboldt. Brady Ross was next with 16 for the Wildcats.
HUMBOLDT 56, HAMPTON-DUMONT 43
Jaxon Heinz scored 17 points, Brady Ross made 14 and Austin Zylstra added 10 to lead the Humboldt boys' basketball team past Hampton-Dumont, 56-43 Tuesday night (Dec. 3) in a season basketball opener for both teams.

Humboldt visits Eagle Grove on Dec. 13. The varsity and freshmen host Manson-NW on Saturday, Dec. 14. Action begins at 4 p.m. with the freshman game, followed by the varsity. The Wildcats are at Algona on Dec. 17 and round out their pre-holiday slate with a home game against Webster City on Dec. 20.
