Wildcat boys blitz St. Edmond, 63-45
HUMBOLDT – Humboldt won a key North Central Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night by blitzing Fort Dodge St. Edmond, 63-45 in the Humboldt gym.
The Wildcats shot 60 percent from the field and displayed a stingy defense as they pulled away in the second half after leading 32-22 at halftime. Senior Michael Orness led all scorers with 19 points to power Humboldt. Bryan Larson powered in 15 and Jaxon Heinz finished with 12 for Humboldt, which improved its season record to 3-2 overall, 2-2 in the NCC. Robbie Burke led St. Edmond with 17 while Eddie Doyle added nine.
