Wildcat boys win 5th straight, stop Lynx 69-61
HUMBOLDT – Humboldt's varsity boys won their fifth straight and improved to 6-2 overall on the season, 5-2 in the NCC, with a 69-61 victory over the Webster City Lynx Friday night (Dec. 21) in the Humboldt gym. Senior center Bryan Larson scored 31 points and Michael Orness added 19 to power Humboldt, which trailed most of the first half before tying the game 23-23 at halftime. The Wildcats also got 4 points each from Jaxon Heinz, Brady Ross and Don Smith. Ben Jacobson had 3 and Matt Pogge and Jaylen Heinz 2 each.
Webster City was led by Mason Myers with 19, Nick Olmstead with 18 and Ben Mossman with 10.
