The five members of the Lazy River band, who started playing together in junior high school back in the 1960s, held a grand reunion show at the VFW in Dakota City on Friday night, in conjunction with their 30th class reunion of the Humboldt High School class of 1973. Members of the class of 1972 were also invited. Proceeds from the show brought in $3,000 as a benefit for the Humboldt Music Boosters. They estimated 350 to 400 people attended the evening festivities, including parents, grandparents, friends and reunion attendees. The now grown up band members from left to right are: Jon Porter, Randy Berka, Ardie Strutzenberg, Mark Flanagan and John Callahan.
