| Another successful county fair concludes Combating only a few overnight showers, the Humboldt County Fair managed to conclude another successful run July 25.
The fair showed strong attendance at the grandstand shows and the events held on the grounds. Livestock numbers were also up in most area's Humboldt County 4-H Youth Coordinator David Stephens reported.
Jackie Bleich was crowned the 2010 Fair Queen with Stephanie Dick selected as runner-up and Christine Shillington as Miss Congeniality.
Joie Smith was chosen as the 2010 Little Miss Humboldt County Fair Queen and Fin Mason was selected as the Little Mister Humboldt County Fair King.
Fair board members were pleased with the public's participation and financial support of the 2010 county fair.
Next up on the schedule is the Carson and Barnes Circus on Sunday, Aug. 29, at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds with shows at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Advance tickets are available at Hy-Vee, Fareway, Shopper's Supply, Humboldt Rent All and Vinny's BBQ.
